COAST & CANVAS

About Stretching & Framing

Here I'll explain the difference between my three art finishes and framing options, which are:

  • Unframed/Rolled Canvas
  • Stretched/Ready to Hang Canvas
  • Professionally Framed Canvas

    Unframed / Rolled Canvas

Choose this for the lowest cost option, and if you would like the flexibility to stretch or frame the canvas however you like after delivery. If you also would like to frame your art traditionally behind glass after delivery - pick this option. You can take the tube to any local framer and they will be able to finish the art, ready to hang on the wall in your chosen style and colour to suit your home.

This canvas arrives safely and securely rolled in a tube.

Stretched / Ready to Hang Canvas

Choose this for the middle-priced option, and if you would like the ease and convenience of being able to hang your art on the wall when it arrives!

Often referred to as a 'stretched canvas', the artwork will be wrapped around timber stretcher bars and ready to hang on the wall when it arrives. The edges of the canvas wrap around the sides for a clean and modern finish.

This finish also allows the flexibility for you to add a floating frame afterwards, anytime when you are ready and if you chose to do so. Any local framer should be able to add a floating frame that sits outside the stretched canvas. The stretched / ready to hang canvas looks like the images below:

You can also request white or black edges to this finish - just leave a note at checkout if you prefer black or white edges.

An example of white edges on a stretched canvas is below:

    Professionally Framed Canvas

Choose this option if you would like the ease and convenience of having your art professionally framed for you, arriving ready to hang your art on the wall when it arrives.

Designed for artwork that is printed or painted on canvas, floating frames give art the illusion of floating inside the picture frame without touching it, which creates an interesting visual detail and a sense of three-dimensional depth in the overall display.

This is the most expensive option due to the artisan nature of fine art framing - however the investment is certainly worth it. I also have Afterpay available for orders under $2000 to be split into 4 fortnightly instalments, and can also create custom and bespoke payment plans too - just contact me if you would like to arrange this via enquiries@corinnemelanie.co

    Instructions to order:

Step 1: Choose your art by selecting the 'unframed/rolled canvas' option to your cart: Shop All Art

Step 2: Add the matching size frame here: Add a floating frame
